Search Engines for Kids and
Families
The following
are a series of links to family appropriate search engines.
Please note however that there is still always the small
possibility that these sites may themselves allow inadvertent
access to inappropriate material. WISE KIDS cannot make any
guarantees in this respect.
Ask Jeeves for Kids
allows children to ask questions naturally and as they try a
few searches they get the idea of how to refine the
questions they should ask. There is a good Study Tools
section and a homework message board.
Yahooligans is a
yahoo directory for children. From the front page you can
choose the Homework Help section, listed under School Bell.
This is an American site, but most of the resources and
links are relevant to UK homework too.
Kids Click!

the information you want by choosing from directory lists,
doing simple or advanced searches, or choosing a topic by
clicking on its initial letter in an alphabet display.
