Reporting Illegal Content

CEOP: In April 2006, a new UK centre was launched called the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) . It is a one-stop place to report child sex abuse online or offline. CEOP also have educational resources for educators and young people: http://www.thinkuknow.com

IWF: If you find illegal material on the Internet, contact and inform the Internet Watch Foundation. See http://www.iwf.org.uk for more information.

VGTF: You can also report abuse to the Virtual Global Task Force. See http://www.virtualglobaltaskforce.com for more information.

Mobile operators

Since 2004, mobile operators in the UK have signed up to the UK code of practice for the self-regulation of new forms of content on mobiles [last updated on the 10th June 2009]. There is also a European Framework for Safer Mobile Use by Younger Teenagers and Children

Mobile operator Orange have produced a short film entitled Incoming Message, aimed at PSHE/PSD teachers of students aged 11-14.
