5th
of Feb 2008. WISE KIDS has launched
the
Youth-Net-Working project, a European Social Risk Fund
project administered by the
WCVA, by delivering training at the
Catapult
Project in Tredegar. The project, having
been in development for several months, aims to create an Online
Network of young people (16+) and youth workers from different
youth groups/ organisations across Wales, who are trained in New
Media, Internet and Mobile Technologies, Internet Literacy,
Proficiency, Safety, and Interpersonal Skills.
They will use these skills to create media reflecting their
experiences of their individual youth group/organisations, and
network and share these experiences with other young people and
youth workers online. Other groups involved
include the Garth Youth Project and Project Milford in
Pembrokeshire and the Communities First Youth Project from Ebbw
Vale Development Trust.
